Durations/Usual Hours Per Week: Permanent, full-time.

Shift/Work Days: First Shift. Monday-Friday. 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description Summary: SNC Manufacturing is looking for a talented individual to fulfill the role as Product Manager. This person will be expected to perform a broad range of sales and marketing support functions including managing the product line, pricing, promotion, quoting, order processing, working with internal and external personnel to support customers, and occasional customer meetings. The successful candidate must also be able to collate and analyze both internal and external data, in order to create insightful reporting that shapes important strategic decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Sales leads, the Sales Funnel, and RFQ process. Track data and create weekly reports to make sure that leads are follow up in a timely manner, determine win/loss ratio, and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze margin/profitability by product category. Identify low margin business and work with Account Managers to improve profitability.
  • Promptly and accurately respond to sales reps and customers’ technical questions via email and telephone.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the SNC line and capabilities.
  • Work across departments to effectively manage the product portfolio.
  • Uphold highest level of customer service.
  • Support co-workers within the department.
  • Maintain customer records in the database (CRM/ERP).
  • Upon request, attend customer sites or trade shows to support sales.
  • Lead marketing activities at the direction of the VP Sales & Marketing.
  • Gather and analyze diverse data to understand market trends that will help to make decisions on SNC’s product offering.
  • Communicate with the management team, in order to guide strategic decisions.
  • Collate and analyze data, in order to effectively forecast sales trends.
  • Generate accurate, clear reports and explain complex trends.
  • Regularly share actionable information with the sales and management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 years of product management  experience. Prior experience and/or knowledge of the electrical, utility and transformer industry knowledge a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Communicate clearly with staff, customers, and other key members in the company while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Being able to quickly assess large amounts of information and data is very important. The ability to consider and evaluate the interrelationships of numerous factors and to select the best course of action is imperative. In the absence of enough information, sound intuitive judgment is crucial to reaching favorable decisions. Certain qualities, including self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, and flexibility, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, and sound business judgment are important. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
